And the Work Goes On...

The first coat of new paint in the library.

New ceiling with five can lights & re-centered light fixture, which will really brighten up what used to be a fairly dark and dreary room.

New kitchenette counter & cabinets. I can't wait to organize it!

Cement truck pouring (you guessed it!) cement.

Just-poured cement in the first floor of the new addition. I showed great restraint by not writing my name in the cement.

  1. Awesome blog Rose! I am so excited about the renovations and I don't live there and have never even seen the house....I think a roadtrip is in order! You keep this up and I may have to contact EO and nominate you for House "Mom" of the year...they probably don't like the word "mom" at EO, right? Coming from a chapter without a house I now get the whole "House Corp" thing a bit more.

  2. Susan! I'm so glad you're reading & enjoying the blog. My goal was to get people excited about and help people feel connected to everything going on at the house this summer. Thanks for making me feel like it's a success!

Don't know what the DG-sanctioned term is, haha, but no one ever calls me the "House Director." Mom it is. :) And just so you know, you are MORE than welcome to stay at the house sometime. Even if you can't fit in a stay, I'd love to at least give you a tour next time you're in the vicinity (Dayton isn't too far...!). Hope you're well! Anchor Love to you, Luke, and adorable Andrew!
